According to the 4yo, there's a particularly volatile compound in his personalised world, called hydralazium.

"If it gets too close to your veins, or your blood, it can spark and cause a fire. You have to wear goggles to protect your eyes and nose.
It's not an element, it's a compound, because it contains hydrogen, water and a bit of electricity."

He announced this assertively to me while buzzing around the playground on his scooter bike, wearing his snorkeling goggles and a pink hat.
